Stop panicking Mike.... .

Here is the official response from Utshwayelo Lodge:

“Hi Kurt,

Thank you for reaching out.

The protests in Jozini and Manguzi are currently obstructing traffic to the area however we are confident that it will be cleared up in the next day or so.
It is really residence protesting against hijackers using the area as through road to Mozambique. Not the borderpost near us but a through road near Tembe.
Note that the hijacks does not happen in Kosi.

Kosi Bay is actually a very safe area and we certainly don't think the protests will be affecting the trip at the end of April.
Should travel to the area in April be affected by the protests we can discuss possible credits however we really don't anticipate this happening.

We are keeping an eye on all activity in the area and will keep you updated.
Also feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards
Yolanda”

There are 2 or 3 dozen protests every day in SA and this has been going on for over a decade.

One of my staff was late today because of protest action in Zandspruit.

These protests last a few days at most.
They are localised so easy to avoid.

So, I don't really understand the sudden pantie wringing...

The rioting is sorted. The KZN premier has come to an agreement with the locals.

As for Virus Issues. The situation changes daily. We will discuss this at the committee meeting on the weekend. At this stage it is still a go.

If they aren't rioting anymore (as everyone who is not an idiot predicted) & if going to a remote place is the right thing to do under this virus thing, is there anything else that we can get our pantie in a panicked flatspin about?

... Im with the locals on this issue ...
trust the Premier is indeed finally building
the Great Wall of Pongola to prevent
the locals cars - and my Landy - from being
stolen & redeployed by some unappreciative sod in Mozambique ...

( ... if Premiere isnt doing that ...wont be over )

I dont know if, after Lock Down, my wife will have leave to join this trip & I'm waiting for Parts for my Bus A/C unit.
We'll have to see what happens after 16 April.
God bless everyone.
