I'll add the Trail to Post #133.
But you would need to leave by 08:30 latest.
That's paid (R300) & deflated & lined up by 08:30.

Reason being: Any later & you'll only get back just before the meeting - later if you have issues.

I've done that trail 6 times - slowest was 6:15, fastest was 1:47. But 4+ hours is the average.

Guys, I'll only get there around 09:00 tomorrow morning - my Friday went as bad as Trump's pronunciation of Indian names.
I'm not even packed yet & need to finish the Chairman's report.

On the plus side - I won't be Chairman, or even Vice Chairman, after tomorrow - for the first time in many years... :D

Shane, no.
I've got too much other stuff to do.

But I may go out & watch the last bit.
I'll see...

Great AGM Weekend. I unfortunately only arrived Saturday morning.

I believe the guys who did the trail enjoyed it - I see a few guys, including my dear Northern Cape friends picked up some damage.
Flipside & Bugger must, once again, be thanked for assisting the guys.

I've posted the Chairman's Report below. But here follows my summary:

Another successful 4x4AG weekend.

Unfortunately Woolf, TGWIndina, Hedgehog, Samaya, KurtG & Kelis could not make it & were excused.
I could not do much wrt refunds for the Chalets, but I managed to avoid paying for the camping for Hedgehog, Samaya, Kurt & Kelis.

RynoB & LX didn't pitch & never bothered excusing themselves, which is a rather poor show.
Weiers (Refuses) Bothma of Off Course 4x4 arrived & camped on Friday & Saturday, unfortunately he decided to go get Fitshaced in Parys rather than attend the meeting.
Rather a poor show. I am not impressed.

But other that those 3 very disappointing instances everything went well.
Shane managed to attend, he did the trail, participated in the meeting & collected his SWC & Jacket.
He has a damn nice SFA Hilux!
All in all 35 members attended & whilst that is not our best AGM turnout, it's a damn close 2nd best.

I would like to thank the following people:
* All those members & their families/friends who attended the AGM.
* Members Grips, Christopher & Ignus who drove up from Kathu to attend the AGM (500km one way).
* The Outgoing committee members; Emile, Flipside, Martin & especially Crips - Chris has served on the committee for the past 6 years.
* Lenie & Berakah for being so accommodating.
* Ge'Off (Wave), Michael (Axego) KurtG & Andreas for offering to serve on the committee.

Recap of 2019 Club Year

7. 4 January 2020 - Karee Krans by Manny (but really, Bugger arranged it).

Finally, the a5th event of the past year - this AGM on 7 March here, at Berakah

Current Status of Club
FB: 3500+ members – Ge’Off to expand the role of FB
Forum: 320 members, doing well. Under the Stewardship of Michael.
Club: 140 odd members – as it has been for past 5+ years.

Treasurers Report
Every treasurer’s report is the same – we have money, Plenty money.
This year it’s, unfortunately different.
Usually we have in excess of R50 000 & my goal is to keep it below R50 000.
We nearly hit R100 000, but then the cost of the YEF, the payments for the NKZN Trip & the costs of this AGM dropped the amounts.

Right now we are at R74 400 with about R4800 owing for the AGM & around R6000 for NKZN - meaning we’ll be over R60 000.

Election of a new 2020 Committee
1. Current Committee is:
Office Bearers;
• Chairman - Manny
• Vice Chair - KurtG
• Secretary - Crips
• Treasurer - Manny
Non Office Bearers;
• Flipside
• Emile
• Martin De Jager
• Ge’off - FB & Marketing
• Michael - Forum
• Frosty - Radio Officer
However, for some time we have been using Andreas as an advisor. He has given advice & input to both Kurt & I.
So effectively we had 10 people on the committee – 2 more than allowed. But Andreas wasn’t really on the committee – he was just valued for his guidance & advice.

However, the Constitution says the committee can only consist of the 4 office bearers ‘& a maximum of 4 other positions’. That’s 8 max.

Crips, Flipside, Emile & Martin have all indicated that they are not standing for any of the Office Positions.

I would like to THANK Crips, Flip, Emile & Martin for their service…

Ge’Off & Michael are prepared to continue in their current roles.

Only Manny & Kurt made themselves available for re-appointment.

Proposed Committee for 2020/21"

Non Office Bearers:

• Frosty - Radio Officer
• Ge’off - FB & Marketing
• Michael - Forum

Office bearers:
• Treasurer - Manny
• Secretary - Manny
• Vice Chair - Kurt
• Chairman - Andreas

Members were asked to vote ‘Aye’ or ‘Nay’ on above proposed committee.
Election of the above was unanimous.

Questions
Questions from the floor were answered.

Andreas than gave a brief introduction to his new vision for the club going forward (I'm sure he'll post about this soon)...

Thanks for the lekker weekend everyone.
Thanks also to the outgoing committee for their efforts over the last year. Congratulations to our new chairman and committee. I'm sure you can rely on great support from all the active members over the next year.
