2020 AGM 7 March @ Berakah near Parys

#1

Post by Mad Manny »

WWhat?: The 2020 AGM
WWhere?: Berakah 4x4 Trail outside Parys in the Free State
WWhen?: 7 March 2020 as posted in the Official 2020 Calendar in October.
WWhy?: It is a Constitution mandated event
WWhat For?: To inter alia, elect a new committee. The Great Mad Manny must step down as leader...
WWho?: All Paid up Club members & Life members
WWhat's in it for me?: Many things:
* You get to know what your club was, is & will be up to
* You get to vote
* You get a great weekend away subsidised by your great club (see Plans below),,,
WWhats the plan?: You have many options, all we ask is that you are there FROM 14:30 - 15:30!! for the Meeting.
Options;
* Arrive Friday, do the trail on Saturday morning & attend the meeting @ 15:00 on Saturday Afternoon.
* Arrive early Saturday & do the trail & attend the meeting @ 15:00 on Saturday Afternoon.
* Arrive on Friday or Saturday, but spend the morning in Parys antiquing & having a nice lazy lunch at one of the many restaurants & then attend the meeting @ 15:00 on Saturday Afternoon..
* Arrive Friday or Saturday & spend the morning chilling at camp & then attend the meeting @ 15:00 on Saturday Afternoon.
* Arrive Saturday afternoon in time for the meeting & attend the meeting @ 15:00 on Saturday Afternoon...
WWhen must I leave?:You have many options, all we ask is that you are there FROM 14:30 - 15:30!! for the Meeting
Options;
* Leave directly after the meeting.
* Stay for the Braai @ 17:00 then leave
* Stay over & leave Sunday morning.
Its all up to you?
WWhere can I stay?: Camping - If you are camping, the club will pay your camping fees.
Chalets - there are 6 @ R220pppn for YOUR account.
What are the Costs?:
Booking Fee: R55.55 per Club member(not per person) - this will be used towards funding part of the post AGM braai.
Camping - R60.00pp covered by the club.
Chalets - R220pppn for Your account (book via the club).
Day Visitors - R60.00pp covered by the club
Trail Fee - R300/vehicle for Your account. Pay on the day DIRECT to Berakah.
WWhat Else?: If you haven't been to Berakah or Parys this is your chance.
Parys is not unlike Clarens with a nice vibe & many interesting shops & places to eat.
Berakah is a Terror trail, but its doable if you have Gonads.
There is a very interesting story about the Vredefort Dome which you must learn about.
Must I WWorry that the club will collapse WWithout WWonderful Manny?: No, I will still be serving on the committee, just not as Chairman.
WWill the Trail count?: Yes, definitely.If you haven't done it, you can certainly add it to your UTM list...

WWhat now?: You pay your R55.55 to the club account with reference [Name]AGM Eg. RynoB AGM or ShaneAGM.
IF you want a Chalet - book now there are only 6 you do a SEPARATE Payment for the Chalet.
Then ONCE YOU HAVE Paid - you post here that you have paid & what your intentions are (camping, Fri & Sat or just Sat etc.).

WWow! In WWhat WWays can I be difficult? Many ways; use the wrong reference (Like Martin & Grips did on their Jacket orders), try deal with the venue direct (Like Colin did at the YEF), confirm you are in but don't pay (like Outlaw Shaun did with the Jacket order) or just book & pay then don't pitch (like Ryno & Shane did at the YEF.) :lol: :D :roll:

WWhere's my Jacket/Spare Wheel Cover?: Any still with me will be handed out there...

So, basically, for R355.55 you can spend an entire weekend at Berakah & do their famous trail.
Find another club who offers all that for only R250 a year.
4x4AG is definitely the best run, best value club in SA...
