I would like to join whichever of these my pink lady can do effortlessly! And whichever trails can be navigated by a blonde!

IV & V. 7 to 10 August 2020
Trip One - Baboons Pass
Trip Two - River Trip
Need to take Friday 7 August off work.

VI. 23 to 27 September
Trip One - 3 Provinces.
Trip Two - TBA (Ivory Trail/Olifants River Route)
Need to take leave on Friday 25 September

VII. 28 November 2020
Year End Function
Probably near Fouriesburg/Clarens

Some trips will include a commemorative dome sticker.
Some trips will require you to qualify.

This was (if you read Post #1) the plan for August & September.
But due to the Economic Lock Down, the August Trip has been changed to the Delayed Koranna Getaway Trip.

We now need to discuss September.
The Ivory Trail thing is not an option as no one has the details & contacts anymore.
So, here are the options;
* 3 Provinces - as originally planned.
* Ribbokkloof
* Any other great idea you guys suggest & are prepared to assist with.

Let's get cracking

Disclaimer: At this stage we don't know how tight the grip of economic strangulation will be in September.
So please bare that in mind.

Manny my input is worth nothing at this stage.
Due to this Scamdemic and the lockdown i am jobless at this stage, so i have no "time" to play..

But I do hope you guys will be able to go out and hopefully this lockdown gets lifted soon!

Good luck and stay safe!

Looks like people are in a holding pattern waiting for normality to return.

No other input?

Yip Andreas, I have absolutely no value to add because I’m truly stumped by what the ANC has done to this country this year. I’m waiting for the next surprise, so I will not plan anything.

Negative? Yes indeed! But I prefer not to be disappointed if I can help it.

If you don't plan - the terrorists win.

But I see most have thrown up their hands and surrendered.

Me, I'll continue to live my life and try enjoy it.

As the saying goes :
‘ If you dont know where you going,
... then any road will take you there.’

Unlike the ANC, it is, and should be in our nature to have vision, arrange and execute so that, ideally, the future unfolds seamlessly and according to plan (definitely not like the ANC)

I cant give more commitment at this stage than is reasonably practical, as my outlook for future is a bit negative on what I see and hear.

Look at SAB ... pouring beer down the drain, “... a-gain ...“ as Forrest Gump would say. (sorry Kurt)

As much as I would like to get away for a few days it isn't going to happen for a while. The little bit of income I'm getting has to go to keeping us afloat so there's nothing spare for a trip away.

I think one can only make provisional arrangements or plans for Sept assuming we are not unreasonably constrained, hindered or prevented by prevailing laws and dictates at the time.

Koranna, we had a booking & I gave commitment, so Im still arranging to go,
but I dont really want to go thru all this permits and looking over shoulder stuff again.

That said and conditions permitting, I would be more interested in Ribbokloof, which I havent been to, than 3 Provs where I've been 3 times before.

Before Covid I was most keen on the Oliphants/Ivory Trails or combo thereof, but I think thats a big project and must be kept off table for this year.
I'm a retired guy and timing and (reasonable) cost are generally less constraining, but I like to only spend <1/4 of a trips time travelling there and back ... and I can usually arrange that myself.
If we going to do camping week-ends now, they must surely be here in Gauteng area or,
maybe dust-road sneaking over border to near-by, because we know the roads and area well.
eg maybe Hedgehogs back-roader to Karee-Krantz sort of thing.
ie maybe we must focus more on the dustroads
escape routes out ... and only then say whats accessible from and along those routes...
