2020 Calendar Planning

#1

Post by Mad Manny »

We need your input on the proposed 2020 Calendar.
Basically this is your chance to offer suggestions for events & outings you would like to see in 2020.

Points:
Formal official Club events for Club Members only.
Max 6 for the year (we will pick the best 6).
Will not include day trails.
Need a spread of events ito location & type (so variation of 4x4, training, overlanding, camping etc).

I will update post #2 with the worthwhile suggestions...

Thanks for this thread Manny. If the members don't give input and assist in the planning of events they mustn't bitch about what gets organised.
As mentioned in you post above we are doing a trip to Northern KZN in October. There are some nice 4x4 / overlanding options in the Piet Retief area as well closers to the coast. I'll look at the possibility of putting together a trip to and in the area of KZN south of Swaziland.

Good question Mr. Dust Mountain,
We have done longer trips, like the the Namaqua/Orange/Richtertersveld Trip we did this in April year - it was 12 days.
So a variation of 1day, 2 day up to 10 or 12 day trips...
Nothing over December &January though - Club only arranges February to November...

That is something I'd be interested in Henri.

... we need to have a unifying, arcing, circular ‘tour de force’ trip to meet up or ‘1/2 way accommodate’ meeting-up with wayward distributed members etc ...
... even if Joburger squad have to venture as far out as Gariep and back etc ...
and/or include Whoopaaaa in circuit etc ...
?????
