Paul, the trail is not a car breaker unless you can’t drive.
There is an escape route for the first real obstacle, that for me is the only serious one.
The rest may get you slipping due to loss of traction which means you may need a winch or a rope to recover. It’s not that it’s dangerous, it’s just a traction issue due to wet soil / mud when exiting the stream.
Have a look see, as suggested, and then decide.
If you really aren’t into trails, then skip it, it’s no biggie.
PS - I’m not doing the trail on Saturday

now that is way above the capabilities of a normal car.
I have seen plenty cars stuck halfway up that pass...
but then, they did not have 4x4
and they were not rentals
and many normal cars have actually made it over too... just slowly.

Andreas and I will drag your Honda over the pass for you Kurt. I'll connect a steel cable from the Disco's tow hitch to your car.KurtG wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 1:40 pmI will try it in my AccordFlipside wrote:now that is way above the capabilities of a normal car.

IMPORTANT STUFF!
Please be seated in the lapa by the pools by 08:55.
Bring chairs.
Bring shade for after.
Guys doing the 4x4 Trail WILL sign a Indemnity before starting.
Once disclaimer completed you will be the first people EVER to receive an In The Gorge sticker.
If you are doing the Trail PARK AT THE BOTTOM & walk to the Lapa DO NOT DRIVE UP TO THE LAPA there is little space & you'll get parked in.
Those not doing the trail are free to do whatever they wish.
We DO have a Nominee - so we WILL Vote!
The Meeting will end in under 36 minutes - as is tradition, but then we'll have a Q&A session.
I will hand back your R100.00 AGM fee to the 28 people who paid immediately after the meeting.
See you at the AGM!!!
