The 4x4AG AGM Weekend:

Andreas, Alfred GeeS, Michael Craig, Paul Venter, MartinDJ, Tammy & I, Emile, Kurt, Bazza, Chas, Georg the German & Colin No Pay all arrived on the Friday night.
Bazza moaned there was not enough wood.
We braai'id.
Bazza & Emile sat talking crap until well after midnight - NOT using there quiet voices... chops!
Weaver's Roost is a stunning camp venue & they were well organised.
There was even a "Welcome 4x4AG" Board

The next morning we headed to Lost Horizon - the Lapa in a beautiful setting below the three massive swimming pools was all set up for us.
The meeting was originally supposed to start at 09:30, but I moved it to 09:00, which explains the slow start.
Kurt will publish minutes of the meeting later, but we covered stuff like our Social Media successes, membership, the year that was & the year ahead, how we are struggling to grow the regions because real 4x4'ers don't live near the sea, the Treasurer's report etc.
Salient stuff was that we are strong, sound, financially secure & an all round awesome club.
Flipside was elected to the committee.
AntonB was given a certificate of ap[preciation for all his hard work regarding the AGM over the past few months.

There were very few questions as the committee is doing such an awesome job.

The meeting ended. I refunded the AGM fees to those present who had paid.

The 4x4AG AGM Weekend:

After the meeting 9 of us did the trail, others relaxed by the pool, others went on a drive & to a Brew House lunch.
Everyone just relaxed & enjoyed one of the great locations in the Hekpoort area.

A large amount of us headed back to Weaver's lodge &, after a slow start, started relaxing.
Bazza went on & on & on & on & on & on & on & on & on about the amount of wood - complaining bitterly there was not enough, even as more & more bags were added to the pile.
The kids went to enjoy the Supertube, some went to the pools, others to the shops, but eventually we were around the fire.
Bazza complained that we were burning too much wood then launched into a long diatribe about mixing hard wood & soft wood in a fire.

We were a large group in 3 different areas, Martin, Colin, 4Gee & GeeS etc were at the upper site nearer the shop, most of us at a lower larger area & the poor Lessew at the top towards the gate - so there were some sub -braai's, but that allowed for better interaction.

The 'Day Visitors' left & the 'kuiering' continued.

I went to bed early, but I got up just before 01:00 & saw the fire was still hot & there were many bags of wood left over - Clearly Bazza knows no wood...

Sunday we slowly packed up (Johannes was up early, packed & left before I had coffee!) and slowly one by one the guys left.
Lessew left without saying Goodbye & will be added to the YEF Strafdop list.

BTW: All those who did NOT wear Club Shirts to the AGM will be on the Strafdop list - such indiscipline will be dealt with.

Tammy & I stopped at the Bru house for a slow lunch, slow because our incompetent government shedded a load of power.

I would like to thank everyone who attended the AGM for their support of the club & for helping make the club awesome.

This was our best turnout at an AGM ever - in fact attendance has more than trippled over the past few years!
