Ok people, time is running out. lets do some checks.
1) LX, do you have a spare?
2) Are all the passports in place?
Vehicle checklist:
3) Recovery gear
4) Fire Extinguisher
5) First Aid Kit
6) Water
7) Small tent, trust we wont need it, or sleep in your car
8) Blankets
9) Warm Jackets, brr its going to be cold
10) spare food
11) small gas stove
12) Spares
13) Orra radios, or base station.
and lots of OBS and guts.

Just a small word of caution. Theft is rife on Baboons. So don't give them an edge.

Martin and I have both got Adendorff winches on our Vehicles but Martin have on our recent Trip in Richtersveld on The Road To Hell returning up the Pass broke a CV and used his winch for more than 4 hours without missing a beat
So the Product was really put to test and made the cut in my book

A winch vehicle in front of convoy and one at rear or in the middle.

Do you have pulleys for side securing a vehicle using a winch. You will need straps for this also?

You dehydrate as much in the cold as you do in the heat, stay hydrated

Cotton is the killer fabric in cold climates especially if it gets wet or damp from exertion or the weather. Choose the right fabric clothing.

If you have headaches, nausea or dizzyness or nose bleeds, it could be altitude sickness. It can start at 2500m ASL but can affect some people at lower altitudes. Usual treatment if the symptoms are light but if severe, descend to lower altitude (Not sure of what altitude Baboons is) but keep an eye out for the symptoms
