And then we were 7.
Unfortunately Wayne and Andreas had to withdraw recently so there will be 7 of us going.
The bookings we have are 8 spots on the Eco Route and Riemvasmaak and 7 camp sites in the Richtersveld National Park.
Andreas was way too generous by insisting we keep his deposit and he also went and paid for one of the nights at Kokerboomkloof out of his pocket and he said the club can use the money for wood etc. on the trip.
Somehow, the club will find a way to compensate the generous man.
I am really getting excited now...

Best wood around those parts is
Kammeelboom/kameelhout which is avail from about Vryburg on ... though going SW down
N14 I try not to stop much until after
Kuruman as its a crap crime route!
After Kuruman slow down and enjoy the trip/road more. Not sure your exact route
but near ecotrail start restock with
supplies wood , fuel , food , water etc
at Kakamas or PoffAdder or ot local
farmer co-op centres ‘SA Agric’ which
have the basics.
As I recall PoffAdder is a bit beyond
where you turn right on dust road to
go to Klein Pella.
Klein Pella is like oasis of greenery
and , if you camp right there , the last
normal hot shower you may have for a
while ...
... we pushed beyond there and
rather camped wild ...

Thanks Chas.
Pofadder is 54.5km before Klein Pella so we can stock up fuel etc. there.
Agree, drive through Vryburg and Kuruman due to crime, Kathu is a much better place to stop.

Start of Eco 1 is 15.5km from PoffAdder
en route to main Pella turnoff (ie before)
So on attached its red dashed route
(even though can get to Pella on
brown platcar dustroad ...)
from Poffadder head to N14 (12km)
then 3.5km from there turn off tar

In my trailer is 150Lt of washing / drinking water and an extra 25Lt of drinking water. But we are 4 in our family so the more I can take the better.
I’m not sure why Manny needs 185 Lt for himself, must be a Porra thing

Say 5L-10L per person per day
... more if running a shower where you
more than just wet-soap-rinse ...
The tender gender demand/use
quite a bit of water! ... hairwashing etc
Good plan is a +- 5 litre pump action
plastic insecticide bottle with fine spray
for rinsing plates hands etc even showering
without using/wasting much water.
Can swim (and fish!) the orange.
