There’s good & bad if the sand is wet.

The most common difference between wet & dry sand is that sand doesn’t fall back into the track when wet. So the tracks get deeper & the middlemanetjie gets higher.

So in convoy the first few vehicles have an easy time but the ones behind start to run out of clearance.

Big dunes are generally easier because the sand is hard & the crest goes flat.

Debeads are as common because of the extra stress on the sidewall of the tyre when turning hard inside a track.

In the wet, I’ve had a dune collapse whilst I was driving along the flat top. That was interesting.
