Okay ladies and gents, I have plotted the route on the back of a cigarette box:

- We will be doing a total of 242km driving from Tokyo Fuel Stop, back to the fuel stop.
- This includes a total of 153km of River driving in sand and over rocks.
- The rest is tar and gravel in and out of the river etc.
- For the petrol heads, Giyani is 195km from where we fill up at Tokyo Fuel Stop, the diesel guys can head back to Tokyo with ease.

Plan your fuel accordingly, assuming heavy consumption. DO NOT skip the last fuel stop so arrive with enough time to fill up before we head off on Thursday morning.

So... half a tank of fuel...

I can’t really say without knowing the anticipated average economy of each car and the fuel tank size. Only then can the exact fuel use relative to tank size be calculated as a percentage or ratio Image

Four nights before we enter the river.....

Three before I leave for Mokopane to make the drive there more pleasant....

I started tonight with the packing, installed the drawer system and some recovery gear was placed in its secret hiding place (not really needed for the mighty Paj).

Tomorrow I do a packing trial run and maybe do some shopping.

Other than that, I’m ready to go

Only 3 more sleeps!

Some are packed already (anal KurtG)
Some have modded their vehicles (Paul25)
Some are attempting to build an entire canopy from scratch in 7 days (Grips)
Some have turned their vehicles into panel Vans (Wave)
Some have done nothing (Emile)

But Thursday morning, ready or not, we drop into the Molototsi - hopefully without a splash!

We will catch you up.
Either on Friday or on Saturday depending on how many breakdowns your group has... :D

I’m home, great trip indeed. No breakdowns but 4 tyres were lost in our group.
