What an awesome day this turned out to be.
Initially I thought it would not be as good as the 2016 event:
* LROC only had 8 out of their alloted 20 drivers & 4x4AG only managed to fill 14 of our 20 spots.
* Then a LROC driver & two 4x4AG drivers pulled out.
* The weather was really lousy in the early morning.

But then we got going, a smaller field meant we got to drive more often & more frequently.

After round one, one 4x4AG driver withdrew & we were down to 11;

1. RUDI.OOST SPE
2. GUALTER SPE
3. MANNY SPE
4. WaveSPE
5. Sabaki SPE
6. Johannes14 SPE
7. Danny Daniels SPE
8. LX SPE
9. Flee SPE
10. Gavin Flattery SPE
11. Chris Smith SPE

LROC had 7 which meant there were 18 drivers & boy! did we have fun. You got twice as many 'goes' as we would have.

The LROC (again) won the day - their top 7 outscoring our top 7.
Top driver of the day was Philip of LROC, 2nd was Gavin Flattery who drove for 4x4AG & 3rd was Rudi Oost of 4x4AG.

I must thank Jacques of LROC, Pieter of LROC, Paul, Geoff & Rudi of 4x4AG, Red Star Raceway, all the people who kept score, designed the routes, set up cones etc & every person who attended as drivers & guests.

I'll post full scores later. BTW of the 4x4AG drivers, Gavin Flattery was 1st, Rudi 2nd & Geoff (Wave) was 3rd.
Geoff also acquitted himself on the River Trip last week - in the same vehicle!

It was a great day!

Glad you guys had fun. As soon as I've downloaded and processed the 1400 odd photos, I'll post a selection here on the forum.

Those Range Rovers are devastating on smooth blacktop...

We had Johannes in his old Defender TD5 bringing our scores down!
