I'll take an XL shirt if you can find one. Either my 2XL has grown or I've shrunk...both unlikely but here we are.
I don't know if I'm ready to take the GC on a trail yet, but will hitch a ride with some else if they'll let me...please put me down for a boerie roll, and I'll hitchhike.
also, it's in the workshop and I'm not sure it'll be ready by Friday.

Your GC will do the trail with ease. No issues at all. bypasses wherever there is an obstacle.
'This trail is very scenic and pleasant. You will not have an issue at all.

Life will take you where ever you want it to take you...as long as you drive a 4x4

I see Mr MMG is one of those you have to 'invite' to join a WhatsApp group, you can't just add them...

Agreed one of the most scenic routes, some testers, great group, no scares, we really enjoyed the weekend.

What an awesome weekend!
Before I do my Report & give my Thanks, I must warn you, dear reader, of a Major Blunder I made that caused much devastation & destruction - but more on that further down (keep reading
).
Manny's Trip Report:
Background: As stated previously, I was reluctant to arrange another event, as the 1st even of the year was the trip to Booyzynkraal & while that was a great weekend, poor turnout & negativity of members caused me to considerr giving up arranging event.
there were other events, like the presentation @ Nomadic4x4, the Venom Day & the Moegatle Summer Festival that I tried to get Forum/Club members to attend, but response was disappointing.
So when a very enthusiastic Rechard called & offered to arrange a YEF, I wasn't that keen.
But Rechard offered to do all the work & I couldn't dampen his spirit - so the Holnek YEF came into being.
The Holnek YEF Response:
As I feared, response was not great, we finally ended up with 17 Members (& their families) attending, when we had hoped for 25.
Friday:
BillyH arrived in the morning & Kamp Kommandant Bugger arrived shortly after him.
They went & drove some of the trail.
More member poured in through the day, we (Tammy, Tristan & I) drove through, bumped into Douw @ Alzu en route & arrived around 15:00.
It was great to see the guys there. The setting is STUNNING, a fantastic vista, rolling hills, green grass to camp on, decent facilities, a Lapa with a kitchen, a hall & the 4 rooms (for non-campers) dotted around.
All in a fenced off area. There were great views whichever way you looked.
We went to the Lapa & braai'ed - EARLY
At this stage we had 24 people.
BillyH, Bugger & Renay, jadranko & Zotan, Martindj & Esther, Rechard & Saadia, Ant Forgey & Adele, Dirk Schubert & Linda, Remo & Nire, Gustav & his wife (name escapes me), Douw & Marike (in a room), Georg Triton1 & Halen & the 3 of us...
We braai & then, due to the weather, showered & went to bed - the camp was quiet by 21:00.
LX & the two girls arrived around then (Africa Time) & set up in the dark.
We later heard that Pietervil (Landrover Owner) & Erin (Jeep Owner) were no longer attending.
Mr MMG also pulled out.
Meaning we had 3 empty rooms that no one used.
