I was reading on Facebook how the Jeep Club, drove and achieved it in 26 hours, they aimed for six hours. This clubs members achieved it in 11 hours. In a selection of ordinary 4x4's, a mix of pure thrill seekers, this is still one of the best times set for cars with 31inch tyres, some no difflock.

In 2017 we were 6 Patrols on 33" and a SWB Rubi on 35".
We completed in 8,5 hours, but only after stopping at the sleepover point at around 1:30 and then decided, the heck lets push through.

After 7 years, I am arranging one again for 2025
That is if there is enough interest (5+ vehicles), but we should aim not to be more than 10 vehicles.

It is not a Patrol only event. AG club members are welcome.
If there is enough interest from those two sources, we can limit it to that (so, first right of refusal).

I do not intend to rush it though. That is when things go wrong.
31" tyres and no diff lock means more patience and more gwala work. But doable.

My Jimny on 29" tyres and no diff-locks had no issues. What slowed us down was the Hummer on 35's. It's too long and too wide and not enough ground clearance. The Terrano on 31's (I think) with open diffs had a hard time, but the nut behind the wheel was pretty determined and had lots of experience, so didn't slow things down too much.

I am really keen to do this trip again.
