I have updated.
Sorry, have been a little pre-occupied with life.
I did not even attend the year-end thing, which makes me scared of Manny.

Don;t be scared of Manny. Just smack him with a cable tie. Cable ties are his kryptonite. :)

Hi all

Just a reminder
This trip is very much still on for weekend 20-24 March 2025.

However, we do have challenge,
Ron Hairbottle will not be in the position any longer to assist with the machines and labour to clear the road and camp at Carnage.
He will however be taking a group of mates on a short tour that will include the (secret) Fountains, where they will be staying on the Friday (21 March)
He will therefore be able to give us a heads up on the water levels, and if everything went smoothly before we go ourselves after Carnage.

So we will hopefully be going to the Fountains on either the Saturday afternoon (after the day two drive), or the Sunday morning (23 March).

Now as for the challenge:
We will need to find a way of clearing the road and camp before the weekend.
It has rained a lot, and it has been two years since someone camped there. So, I expect the road getting there, and the camp will be very overgrown.
Through the Patrol forum I can arrange for the right equipment to cut the road and camp open (courtesy of Coastal Hire in Bela-Bela and Kempton park).
However, I still need labour (that I can trust) to go with me on the Friday afternoon of 14 March (and return on Sunday 16 March)
Two abled bodies persons will do. I will return them on the Sunday.
I can arrange for camping facilities and food for the Friday and Saturday.
You can of course also volunteer yourself to join the weekend before in support of clearing the camp.

Let me know

Thank you sir, so much!
I will first arrange and collect later.
What we did before is to split the cost as camping fees among those that attend. Depending on the costs, if the divided amount is a bit on the stiff side, I will back to you.
