I am not sure that mountain remains the Boss, still considering to fir my TRE Air locker to the front diff, rear e locker works like a dream.
The rear locker is all you need. A front locker would be overkill

Happy to be a nogshlepper again. If I may be so brave as to suggest a further prerequisite - difflock. The nondiff lock cars sukkeled much more last time and required much more rock packing

Should have added TC as well
I did Baboons 2017 open diff 2wd

And 2019 Tiny Tiger with Woolf
Was a blast

For the guys who have not done it
You need to do it
It is a bucket list

I might spectate with someone looking for a LF
Syncro Cox Camper
SJ 410 TarzanTiny
Millennium Beetle VR6 T Liberty
And a few VW Air cooled Toys

As regards the event above, please can those that are still thinking about it, let me know, I will need firmer numbers to start making bookings for the night before and night after driving the pass.

Reenen, I will keep you in mind. Perhaps, just maybe you can still make it.

Thanks

Just a big ask.
What is the possibility of postponing to another date, obviously based on numbers.?

Hi Rechardt
If there are specific dates that you have in mind, let me know.
For the overnight spot at the start (Ramabanta trading post), one does not really need to book if you intend to camp only.
They know we are coming though, and it is not going to be a busy weekend when we get there. Sometimes they have 'events' there, so I will need to check in with them, if you have a specific alternative time you have in mind.
I am however at the point to book for the end spot (Semonkong, which needs to be booked)

Note however, it is difficult to find a mutually suitable time, with sufficient public holidays etc.
Also, in the summer it rains - not good for boulders on a narrow mountain pass.
In winter the whether can be very unpredictable, and unpleasant (between 1800 and 2800 meters above sea).
So the ideal times are in autumn and spring.

Looks like a hell of a lot of fun, just for clarity if the group gets through the pass in 1 day they would head back home on the 28th?
