Don’t you think Tristan will smash two burgers on his own? He’s a growing lad is he not?

The trip itself (for those of you lus for reading):

We meet outside Umfula Reception at 09h45 for Drivers Briefing.

We leave at 10h00.

The route will take us through Parys. We will travel approximately 3 km out of town and turn off right. Along this tar road we will stop to deflate.

Recommended tyre pressure 1.6 bar which made my Paj dash only rattle a little.

NB this route is gravel travel only. The only serious thing you will have to do is engage 4x4. If you want to. If it rains things may change......

We will travel roads with game and agricultural farms on both sides, with a few hills in between.

Our first stop will be at a bridge over the Vaal River where we can stretch or legs and maybe pee in the bush.

We leave there and travel into the North West Province and hug the Vaal River for a few kms, after which we will make a U turn and backtrack to the T junction.

We will then head to our lunch venue Venterskroon Inn. Our orders are preplaced so all should be good. Their food is delicious.

After lunch we continue gravel travelling to either a brewery or head into town for a dop. On the way through the town you can inflate tyres again at 2 garages (Sasol and BP). You can head straight to the Campsite if you wish.

Total distance will be 120km from campsite back to campsite. We expect to be at the lunch venue at approx 13h00.

Those of you that have radios please bring!

Looking forward!
