Rudi left without saying Goodbye.
LX arrived late as is culturally expected.
Our group was led by Kurt.
I was at the back, in front of mewas Chas the doddering old coot in his super fast & agile Defender 130.
Then it was Gavin & then his wife ally.
In front of them was Johannes in his 110 V8 & then Mike PS (I believe).
Somewhere along the line between Johannes & Mike the convoy rules were abandoned & our 5 car group split off on a tougher route.
Ally then had a bit of a challenge following Joannes, a combination of a faulty Diff Lock, HT tyres that were at over 1.6 bar & being rusty having not wheeled for years.
Anyway, once I worked out my group had no radios & I was leading from the rear, we actually had a nice time.
Ally coped well with the tyres etc & being a smaller group it was less irritating.
My rule is to NEVER have groups larger than 6 vehicles, every time I let this slide I regret it.
The braai & chat was lekker
All in all, a lovely day.
