You spend months trying to get people to attend an event, finally, once it's full, there is always some knob who says "Awww.... I wanted to come too." ...

Trail was rough past lunchtime. Once we got into the valley it got interesting. We were 14 cars in the end with 2x last minute cancelations.
Even the marshals agreed the trail was in a bad state from not driving it. Grass was overgrown covering the rocks. The rocks were sharp, there were many places I should have asked for a spot but if we spotted each time, we would travel 0.5kmh so sometimes we just had to drive.
2x cars had sidewall cuts within 50m, in very difficult spots to jack up the cars.
Myself, I was very fatigued by the end of Saturday. It was fun but I was constantly hitting the slides and bash plates. Capability wise it wasn't an issue but I used the lockers every chance I could. Wheelbase + width of the car was new to me. Apparently longest on both areas out of all the vehicles there.
I did managed to hit my petrol tank bash plate hard enough to break the bracket in the front. Back at camp we ratchet strapped it up and I will get to it sometime. Tank itself is fine.
But we made it to camp which was a task on its own, had a lekker kuier, some strafs, slept under the stars in a hammock. A few left Sunday morning but most of the group continued to man of muis, superman.
Everyone was helpful, able, knowledgeable, always a great bunch to drive with.
