We will be leaving at 10:00, this way we should be able to merge with the convoy on the N3 at warden, hopefully, as we are first driving to Heidelberg which will add an additional 100km to our trip. What's the convoy speed - 100km/h? As its the Syncro,s Jimny,s and the Iveco?

This is a BIG weekend i.t.o 4x4 activity:
Over a dozen 4x4AG guys are off on this DVR Falls Kerkenberg Trip.
The Patrol guys are off to Goerepan for the 70th anniversary event.
The Bosryers are trying to get guys to pay a whopping R550 to go to Bergenrivier (I've been, not worth more than R300).
I believe Hedgehog is picking up his toys and sulking.
And poor Mad Manny, the doyen of 4x4'ing in SA, is working

Yip, BIG weekend! :)

Guys and Girls

Pls take note of our clubs 10 Commandments
Even though this is a open event you WILL abide by our rules and keep our club name high

The Ten Commandments of The 4x4 Action Group
When using your 4x4:

1. NO DRINKING alcohol. Not by Drivers or their passengers. No discussion.

2. Convoy Rules: Always keep a safe following distance but keep the person in front & more importantly, the person behind, in sight.

3. Recoveries: One person will assume command of a recovery, recoveries to be done correctly, no tow-ball recoveries, people to stand clear etc. Safety 1st.

4. Recovery Equipment: Everyone should carry a complete Recovery kit. 4x4 Etiquette prescribes that you should use your own equipment if you require recovery.

5. Passengers: Vehicle drivers are responsible for the conduct of their passengers and guests.

6. Loose Items: Make sure all items (Cooler-boxes, bags, compressors etc.) are secure & can’t move, fall, or cause harm or damage in the event of tipping or rolling etc.

7. Tyre Pressures: Adjust pressures appropriate to the type of trail, conditions, tyre type & vehicle.

8. Safety: Safety first, wear your seatbelts, except when doing deep water crossings. It is advisable to keep your windows ¾ closed.
Remember: drive as slow as possible, yet as fast as necessary.

9. Event leader: Abide by the rules set down by the event leader, they are simple rules, not intended to restrict your fun, but rather provide a measure of safety for you and your family and others on the trail.

10. Code of Conduct: finally, always abide by the 4x4AG Code of Conduct:

To fix the Pink Defender obviously. It is a Land Rover after all. Ha ha ha 😂 🤣
