Barberton Tie The Dots
Posted: Sun Dec 06, 2020 5:14 pm
What?: Barberton Tie The Dots. A 3 day trail through the forests and mountains in the Barberton area.
When?: 28, 29 & 30 May 2021.
Where?: Barberton surrounds
Why?: Because there is nothing organized between the Kosi Bay event and the next event in August. And the climate is mild so a good reason to camp.
Cost?: The princely sum of R30 per person Reserve Fees.
However I think we should chuck in R100 per person to buy a gift for the tour guide.
Booking will thus be confirmed by deposit into the 4x4AG Club account with reference "nameTTD" i.e HenriSteynTTD.
Some more info?:
The Barberton Tie The Dots was an annual event on the Pajero Club of SA. Run by Roelf Le Roux, a now retired Geologist, he knows the area like the back of his hand and makes an interesting 2 day tour of the area.
We camp on top of a mountain Friday and Saturday nights, and do day trips from there. Off grid camping with 2 x porta loo huts will be provided.
Sunday we break camp and head home.
There is no real rough trail. The roads are forestry roads.
Anything else?:
Maximum amount of vehicles 15
Closing date for entries:
23 April 2021 or 15 vehicles whichever comes first...
