Yerrr!.
Can't imagine you narrating that trip report...in person :o
LX my Black Brother from another Mother, you will like Orania.
It's like how you like your coffee - White & Decaffeinated.
I must take you there if I go again.

We actually saw a black guy stop on the main road, get out his car, run across the road, turn round.
Then take selfie with the concrete ORANIA lettering in the back ground, before driving off.

We had an interesting encounter at Augrabies National Park.
This guy drove up in a big camper with all these religious quotes written on it & reference to bible passages etc.
On the side of his camper was a life size Crucifix nailed, ironically, to the side of the van.

He got out, he had long white hair in the Jesus style, he was in his seventies, but a tall broad-shouldered man.
He loped towards me with this scowl on his face & eyes like he was possessed.
I decided that, if he says anything to me I'll tell him to F-Off, but he walked past.

Later, we parked outside at a viewpoint & he pulled up & parked next to us.
He was clearly drawn to my Godliness...

Manny first thanks for the report.

Our side of the story. We are caught up in projects and at one time I thought to let it go. Then Karin dislodged her shoulder a week before the trip.
With her arm in a sling things were complicated. Climbing the RT ladder was out. In the end we decided to take a ground tent which was a very good decision.

The trip being more on the relaxing side did us good - our December holiday was cut short on day three when Karin`s Mom passed away.- I came back feeling fresh and relaxed.

What was nice was spending time in little Karoo towns where you usually rush through. Most of them have great eateries and a rich history.

I think it is worthwhile to take a slow trip through the Karoo and spend time in these little towns.

Thanks Manny, Tanya for a great trip.
You will never find me without Stroh or a 4x4 :D

Maybe he rose on the wrong side of the bed?
