I am a solo caravan lady-camper and here's my experience of my recent Botswana and Zimbabwe trip that started with the Oppipanne troopers.
Botswana was fabulous as always.
OppiPanne was an experience but the dust dusted me. Not soon again, or maybe for a day but not 4 nights.
Zim: the coal-mine in the Hwange National Park covered the beauty I heard about in a black layer of cole as well as the disintegrated road that lead from there to Motopos got the best of my nerves. That road caused damage to my caravan. The hinges that kept the caravan's roof in place snapped and the nut of the gas strut on the roof also snapped. It was nail-biting for me.
I loved Motopos but would have loved to spend more time there and not only a hit and run for overnight stay. Its a beautiful park. Next time.
