An update:
I had my Pajero serviced yesterday, I was asked afterwards if I had done a lot of dirt roads and showed the air and pollen filters. The amount of dust that came out of the air filter after the DVR mountains trip and the two Peters and Jaco trips, was astounding. The Pollen filter was also quite dirty. I should have taken pics.
A good tap on the floor had half a cup of dust deposited. While it means the filter did its job, it would explain the slight fuel consumption increase I saw lately.
Do yourself a favour and either replace the filter or tap it out well to get rid of the excess dust.
I am looking forward to the usual frugal consumption again.

Also, if you remove the filter altogether then you won’t have any dust build up in the filter. That’s my advice

What has all this got to do with the attendance list?

These are the people who should have a look at their air filters…
