Another local overland show that I have watched a few of on YouTube. A couple travel around Southern Africa in a Land Rover Defender for 8 months. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_8L5n ... lGY9QDw9cg

8 months in a Defender?
So it's a 3 month journey?

If you in a rush you can drive anywhere in a cloud of dust and see nothing. Taking it easy and slower you enjoy life a lot more.

“Travel” and “Defender” in one sentence is quite funny

He's done more off the beaten track driving than most of us in the club. Why should it matter what he's driving?

Because it’s good fun to make fun of his vehicle Image

Chill Paul, we’re only having a little innocent dig at him while we are quarantined at home Image

You are really easy to bait Kurt. You fall for my reply more times than not. Ha ha ha.
I know your comments are in jest and you are trying to get the Mud Island Blues out of your system.

Juba's Journey:

OK, Ive watched the first few episodes, from them packing up & leaving Cape Town to the start of their trip.
Then on to all the Botswana episodes. The next episode is the entry into Nam, I'll try watch those later.

What I like is he is not a 'Commercial' Youtuber, like, say, Roam Overlanding. He is just a guy sharing a trip.
So he is a lot like Steve Nuns in that regard.
He is a Ginger with a Jesus hairstyle, often has his shirt off - so he is clearly not pandering to the audience.
He doesn't sugar coat his presentation.
He & his girlfriend are very likeable & he has a nice, relaxed, efficient presentation style.
He makes ASPW & Roam look positively irritating & wordy by comparison.

He does overuse the Selfie-stick a bit, but he does it quiet well, his sound quality is very poor, you struggle to hear over the wind buffering.
I think he needs a Mike Sponge or whatever they use to cut that wind noise down. There are parts think he should have over-dubbed during the production stage.

I'm enjoining it, it's a guy sharing his trip, not a guy chasing Like's & Subscribers...

Thanks for your review Manny. I agree with you in almost all your observations. I've enjoyed what I've watched so far.
