Let’s take a guess in Rand value:

35’s with rims = R50K
Bumper and winch = R35K
Suspension = R20-R30K
Back Bumper = R15K
Roof Rack = R12K
Exhaust system = R15K
Snorkel = R10K

What did I miss?

Drawer system 10K
Second battery with inverter and smart charger MPPT 10K
Fridge with slide 15K
Air Filter Box ?
Adjustable Upper Control Arms?
Engine Tune?
Exhaust?

So minimum R220k.

Mike & Andreas - your figures are low & clearly don't include VAT.

Front Bumper & winch, for example, will be over R50k.

Then I think they did tyres,

I'd say, at least, R550k Including VAT...

I missed those. The R220K is probably right. I would say R250K max. A lot of the stuff are manufactured in Ausie so the costs would be a bit cheaper than in SA.

The Isuzu does not fail to impress me once again. Ranger Raptor did better than I thought it would do in those conditions. I have a pet hate in rack and pinion steering systems. They should ban them on 4x4`s. The tie rod that snapped on the Raptor seems to be light duty like in the case of most rack and pinion steerings. Have repaired and replace my share of them over the years.

Travelling frequent bad gravel roads reduce the life of rack and pinions down to as low as 60k km. The new GD60 Hilux is a good example.
I also a disappointed that the guys could not do a trail repair. That should have been an easy trail weld. Maybe the Aussies does not know that you can use vehicle batteries for trail welding. :lol:

Seeing their trouble with mud in the alternator I expected them to use sealed units on muddy trails like the one they did.

The trail is definitely not for sissies and seem to be extremely hard on vehicles.

Modder bly maar n bliksem.

I have welded a rod end on a hunting car in the veld it is an easy jobbie. What surprised me is I thought they should at least carry welding equipment.
The Aussies are the makers of watertight alternators yet they do not fit them.
