Right
I watched it last night. And hells bells. What a trail

But my wife tells me I am going to have a heart attack one of these days, especially when they have a 200 Cruiser in the story

I cannot understand why oh why they are dead set against using the Crawl Control on the 200 Series.

Crawl gears are very nicely explained on another thread on this forum.

Especially going down steep hills with a trailer in tow. Hell. Set it on one. It slows the vehicle down to 1.8 km’s per hour, and let the engine take you down

Their rigs are extremely heavy so maybe that feature doesn’t work too well with all that weight. Don’t know?

With the added weight of that trailer, I would think you will need some momentum up those rutted slopes, aaaaand.. I have heard that their 200s only have Traction Control not lockers. (but that might only be some models, like here

Yes, they do have center diff lock, but nothing on the axles, and the TC is very good.. but still takes a few mili-seconds to kick in. And if you adjust your throttle the TC gets a bit confused, until you steady up again...

All of this causes a loss of momentum, grip, and forward movement, that a bit of initial momentum can deal with. Especially when towing.

But, I doubt "Crawl Control" will help in those gravely kind if steep inclines that they had in that episode. Some of that stuff was very steep!
And seriously washed out!

Granted. But we won’t know that because they didn’t use it. 😂😂😂

Let’s have a look at this video again

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrRBbh6-eGU

Now. I know. Different horses for different courses and that the conditions in Aus was much worse than in this Youtube video

But sometimes crawling up something is better than taking it at speed. Speed breaks stuff you know 😉😉😂😂😂
