I don't need to buy vehicles with recovery points - I breed them.

In about four years time my boys will have the pleasure of pushing my 4x4 out of the mud/sand. Until then, I try and keep the missus fit and strong.

It looks lethal. It appears that it’s a modified nut screwed onto a bolt?

It’s also not in line or connected to chassis.

Is is a Safe working Load rating of a maximum load rating?

Either way.... depends on how thick that plate is and what size the bolt head is on the other side....

As Neil pointed out, the off set will be a problem (potential problem)

Probleem met eye bolts hulle is ontwerp om krag in `n reguit lyn te hanteer. Daardie eye bolt eintlik eye nut op jou bumper kom van oorhoofse lyne.
Ek het duisende van hulle gebruik die jare toe ek nog lyne gebou het.

I don't trust anything that comes stock on the chassis.

Saw one on a '79 LC the other day that was ripped open. The old type of hook, with the plate behind it to keep the sling from falling out, was also bent open. So yes. Please fit something that will survive a 10tonne snatch.

Reenen, my eks het my Meganika boeke wegggemoer (sy was kwaad.....)

...maar as offset is die verspreiding van kragte on-eweredig. dus meeste krag (of bv 2 derdes) gaan na kant naaste aan punt en dus belading op daai boute gaan groter wees.

Maar ons weet in die werklike wereld doen ons tot dit breek... :P
