Building a Snatch Block Pulley

#1

Post by Chris Stoffel »

The voices in my head told me to build a sand anchor. That was a flop.
Now the voices are telling me to build a snatch block pulley.

I have a 8mm cable on my winch. What should the diameter of the pulley be?
The voices are silent on the diameter.

Please advice. Regarding the pulley, not the voices. :)

You drive a Jeep go and buy one, then you know the ratings are correct.
you do not need a pin failure on the pulley whilst doing a recovery.

I have to agree. making a snatch block seems like one of the more demented suggestions the voices have made!

I'd fire your current voices and find a new one to follow even if it just tells you to drink beer.

People, you are not helping! The voices are good to me.
Now, the diameter of the pulley?

Pin? It has a pin? What is the diameter of the pin?

The Voice. One don't simply 'fire' the Voice.
We are still waiting for an answer.

Is this the same voice that convinced you to buy a Jeep with a car engine in it?

Chris this is right up your street. I watched it a few months ago. It’s strangely addictive

At least invite the voice out for a beer and convince it it's better for your health to get pissed.

When I get pissed I build sand anchors and snatch blocks and buy Jeeps with car engines.
