Half length roof-rack build.

#1

Post by Paul#25 »

I was asked to assemble a smaller than normal roof-rack for a client. The frame that I put together will fit onto the Theul rails he has on the roof of his HiLux double cab. He has a rooftop tent on the canopy so needs the shorter frame just on the forward part of the cab.
The frame is made from 16mm square tube with 1.6mm wall thickness and weights in a 11kg. The bottom bars will be covered with Meranti tongue and groove panels.

The ladder is the same one used to access the tent.

Completed a frame to carry a second spare wheel on top of the rooftop tent for Hilux D/C. Happy customer leaving for a solo Namibian trip next week.
