Replacing Lights Fitted In An Aftermarket Front Bumper.

The front bumper fitted to my Disco has 2 horrible and cheap little round spotlights fitted. They are Midas cheapies that let water into the light when driving in the rain and shine a narrow beam that is useless.
I want to replace these excuses for lights with rectangular LED flood lights that I have got from 4x4 Direct.
My question is............ Should I mount them flush on the angled part of the bumper to shine more to the sides of the road or build rescess boxes into the bumper for them to be more square with the front of the vehicle?

Personally I would have gone with a round light. Be it HID or LED.

But if your other lights are enough, then why not. Throw them to the sides.

Those new lights look lekker, I would build a box and have them shine forward, just be sure that they don't annoy other drivers if they are hooked onto the park light circuit as some of these LED spots throw a very wide and tall beam and normal cars gets the drivers right in the eyes.

Henris, I should have added that I will be adding two 7inch round Hella spots to the top of the bumper. I ran them on the Porsche bumper for the endurance race's that went into the dark. They fitted with 130w bulbs at the moment but I'll probably swop them out for 100w bulbs. The 130's are a bit hectic for anything other than the race track or a rally car.

Geoff, they will be wired to only be on when the Land Rover "fog ligh" switch is selected on. They won't be for normal around town driving. The standard Disco lights aren't bad in urban conditions. On the passes trip the section we did in the dark on day 1 showed how useless the small spots in the bumper are. The only thing they did was piss Manny off when the one shone in his rear view mirror all the time. I'm looking for a spread of light that will light up the sides of the road more than down the track with these.

Yes Kurt, that is why I haven't fitted underbody color changing light strips like you have on your Pajero.
