Built ...Not bought

My gat het ge jeuk en ek het gekrap....

The Granny-wagon Jeep was just too low and the Wrangler all terrain tires just did not do it any more. :(

Pulled out a plasma cutter , Grinder, Welder and a few other tools and started the build process.

Spoke to a few guys ...done a lot of homework and then ordered some monster Johny Joints from Polokwane.
The arms are made from Schedule 80 steam pipe.
From when the Joints arrived to finish took me 3 days of work. That was building brackets...Cutting the original mounts for the Lower arms of with a Plasma cutter etc.

Took it the past weekend to Klein Tafelberg for a test. Man o man ...what a difference in ride quality and then on the trail....
It is chalk and cheese difference between standard with 31 inch tires on and now with a 4 inch coil lift with the long arms in the front.
Still need to build the rear arms. So far the rear only got longer shocks and a A arm spacer to bring the A arm back into alignment.
