it was impossible to find 75mm pipe in west rand so i went for 50mm.
for filtering i use aquarium filtering something..not sure how is called but it is cheap.
there is extra flap now as canopy is narrower than cab.

full test this weekend on dirt roads of free state.
i'm taking dogs with,so on arrival if they are clean and alive... :)

Jadranko, I will change your Forum name.
Did West Rand Steel and Pipe not have 76mm pipe.

Also, you get an 80mm PVC downpipe and you get 76mm PVC, I buy it often....

thanks for info, hopefully it will help if anybody else is doing similar thing as those cartridge filters should
fit nicely in to 76mm pipe.

so far it works as planed.driving 60kph in a neighborhood with ribbons hanging in front of inlet shows air flow.
using hose pipe for water test,no leaks.
torrential rain and dust maybe over weekend.

hi Bugger:

in photo order:
view outside
view inside
front view
bottom two cutouts for liquid drain
removed completely -side view

no water entered canopy.there was no vehicle in convoy so no dust at a front, but importantly no dust entered at a rear.

pvc fitting is older than canopy wall and prevents water from entering even if it leaks from top

How's this project going?

I am thinking of having one of these fitted to the left side canopy door, in combination with a Dust Sealing Kit.

hi Nic
project is over.vents are permanently installed.
they work as intended. :D and survived last few days of rain without leak.

3d models posted above can be changed to suit any personal preference.
part can be scaled up or down, made more round or more square depending where one wish to fit them.
it will work as long inside baffle is there and fitting behind it is higher(older)than canopy
models are free for all.
i do not have intention to manufacture or sell. 8-) :)

enjoy
