behind the decisions and design …
Esp interested in that ‘ Raptor Coating’
which may help wrt a challenge I now have ..,
... Famous Fiver VoorLoper ...
... Veni Vidi Vici ...
Initially I was sceptical about raptor liner but that stuff really is tough. Drove through many a thornbush without marks. Not sure if you have seen video 1 that shows how it is applied
You should start a business doing these builds, if you haven’t already.
Fantastic
Thank for the kind words. Thought about it long and hard. This is my passion which I love doing. The moment you build for someone else it becomes a totally different situation. Used to love photography until I did paid jobs. Just sucked the fun out of it. Maybe later but not feeling I'm good enough at it to do for others too. The amount of work is insane and therefor such a build will be expensive
If you want to take it commercial then set out your own boundaries of what you are prepared to do and what are definitive no’s (like teak counter tops or cast iron fittings ).
Then make sure on whatever brochures or marketing material you make that you specify what you are prepared to do.
Keep it simple, yet functional and then hopefully you can get one or two clients a year and make some money doing what you love.
Then, do NOT start trying to expand and grow too quickly, this is where quality and passion go to die!!
I hear you. My thinking is that sometime in future I will build a van that I know will work and put it up for sale when done. That way I'm still my own boss and not somebody's slave during the build. Getting too old to still endure being bossed around
