Started to build a swing arm to carry wood and gas cylinders last year for the Bots trip I missed.
After some measurements on the current swing arm I decided to buy one for the left side.
New one arrived way back in September last year. Did not have time to install. Yesterday was D-Day.
All the bits and pieces were spray painted and installed.
I am not going to modify the current swing arm leaving the option open for future use of extra spare tyre.
Plan to make brackets that fit on the OEM swing arm.
Christo, I made a removable cage for the spare wheel swingarm for a customer a while ago. He wanted it to hold 2 plastic containers or loose firewood and be able to lock. The way I made it he can either fit the wheel stud bracket or the cage. Your swingarm looks to be slightly different, but you could make a similar cage as to what I did. If you want any more photos I'll gladly send them to you.

OK, so you have two spare wheel swing arms.
The one carrys the spare.
The other one can carry:
Two gas cylinders, or...
Two gas cylinders and a spare, or...
Two gas cylinders and wood, or...
Just a spare.
Nice multi-functional design that gives you lots of options.
Hope you won't mind is I incorporate some of your design in future projects I might have. I have built a cage on a swingarm for carrying water bottles or wood for a customer a while ago so adding the gas cylinders is a nice idea.
