How do you make a Patrol side shaft ? ............................You take a Cruiser shaft and cut it down in size.
Were impossible to find a H200 rear shaft in SA.
Took a shaft from a FJ 45 Cruiser cut and modified it on the lathe to fit the Patrol.
Cut the bearing housing to take a larger bearing and oil seal.

Hy het soos ons almal met n Kas Kar begin toe hy n Lighty was en Ronde Wiele op sy Kaskar gefit om vinniger te glide
toe fit hy sy 50cc se motor en dit was seker die "Turning" Point van ons Almal

This was a sideline project. The kids did most of the work. I only built the engine and the Land Cruiser H55 conversion. The rest of the project were completed by the kids.
Nice little 302 Ford V8 with Edelbrock alu heads and top end kit. Edelbrock claims 278kW and 462Nm. I bumped the compression and went for a more torque with a more 4x4 orientated cam. Think it is good for 230kw and 500nm.
