Paul, this is not a pork sausage. Purchased from my trusty ‘Bok and Rose’ near St Albans.

It’s coming home! Image

It cost me a whole afternoon of happiness and content, knowing I was tanning my meat on some proper coals.

I'm very impressed Kurt and note your dedication
to maintaining high standards in Braai-ing !

At R220 per 10 kg bag your wood is still much cheaper than
Prime British Beef.

I was especially impressed with the marketers
consideration and patience in practicing sustainable
farming methods
... evident from their website:

" Our wood originates from the Kalahari Desert and is harvested using sustainable farming methods, which is crucial to the habitat of the animals that graze these savannas.

Kameeldoring (Camel Thorn) trees scatter the plains of the Kalahari. ... When the trees die, they fall over and can be hazardous to animals. At this point is when it's harvested using sustainable farming methods. "
