Spouse/Partner Membership

#1

Post by Paul#25 »

Thanks to our new chairman for his post in the Committee Meeting thread giving us feedback on the first meeting of this years committee.
The one section of the post that caught my attention is Spouse/Partner membership decision which I think is a great idea. For those that haven't read the thread here below is the applicable section.
The issue of AG membership categories was discussed. The committee has decided to create a spousal/partner membership. All existing members will be able to sign up their wives/partners as members for free for the first year. Thereafter new members and existing members spouses/partners will pay R100 per year membership. We feel this is a small amount to pay as spouses/partners do benefit from club activities such as the YEF and AGM where the club spends a large amount of money on members. We also plan to hold some exciting events for our female members in the near future. As soon as the necessary changes have been made to the website we will be able to activate this decision.
Susan has joined the Forum as suggested and we are waiting for the necessary changes to be done on the website so she can join the club too.
Have any of the other members wives or partners decided to make use of this reduced cost membership offer?

Good spotting Paul.
Yes, the systems are not yet in place for Spouses to take advantage of the free year yet.

Is this facility up and running yet?
I haven't seen any changes on the website yet.

Please have a bit of patience. It will be announced when it is ready, together with some other web site changes. All in good time.

Thanks Andreas. I had to post something on the Forum to see if it still worked and if anyone was still out there...

So they can rule with an iron fist at the club too?
