Country Club Members

Country Club Members...
Note: I am not referring to members of a Country Club (I think the Afrikaans is BoksBoomKerrie).
I am referring to members of the 4x4 Action Group who live in the country...

Confused?

Let me explain, Vice Chairman Kurt Gerber was pondering the fact that members in the great state of Gauteng are able to draw more benefit from the club than those in the lesser provinces. :o
The further you are from GP, the less benefit you are able draw.

Kurt than had an epiphany (as opposed a Tiffany) ...

Here it is:

We will, at the 2020 AGM (in March next year) ask members to vote on a change to the membership fee structure.
Currently the annual membership is R250p.a.

The proposed change will be to charge Gauteng residents R250p.a, but drop the fee for those in the other eight provinces to only R150.

What does this mean?

That anyone renewing their annual membership after 1 April 2020 who resides outside of Gauteng will only pay R150 to renew, as opposed to R250.

Note: There will be NO change to the Life Membership fee...

Comments?

I disagree about charging the GP members more than the rest, just because the rest has their thumbs up their bums and are full of lazy excuses.

There have been some similar membership fee structures in other clubs like The Lotus Register that I've belonged to. It does work but Country members still pay the normal entry fee for any event attended.

The EC member should get a further 25% discount for having 1/2 a 4x4Image

Those with 1/2 a 4x4 should willingly pay double the normal full rate for the privilege of being associated with this awesome 4x4 / Off-road club.

Good Idea, this will really help to get people from here to Join the 4X4AG. And once they do they will be hooked.

I resent being classified as a "Country Club Member"
  • Country is my least favourite music genre
  • It makes us sound like the banjo player from "Deliverance"
