#1

Post by Leon »

I'll go call Ricoffy & Andreas.
They'll be able to advise.

Ricoffy has probably done it more recently than me. From Ruacana the road to Epupa Falls is a great drive. Not hectic at all. Epupa down to Van Zyls Community camp can be rough, especially the last but. Van Zyls changes a lot due to rain. Two years ago it was not bad at all. Last year it was hectic.

Try to find out the road conditions closer to your trip as conditions change all the time up there.

Leon, it rained a lot in that part this year so don't expect an easy trail. I wanted to do it in the beginning of May but due to the current state of affairs, next year May seems more probable.

Sadly though, I doubt whether any south african will be allowed to enter Nam this year.

Leon, if you are able to get into the country this year, give me shout and I'll see if I can meet you there. If not, i am on the route to Ruacana if you come from Oshakati's side and you are more than welcome to join us for a braai and a few doppe.
