And you wont fit inside the fridge either. Or could be a sight watching this happen!
Back to OP.
My experience there is very little noticable difference.
6 hrs max on a 105 Ah battery. Must admit the fridge is an old Electrolux green jobbie.

... as far as I know there are 3 main types of fridges or coolers :
‘ thermal’ coolers/heaters that use >12A
old style fridges with ozone zapping FREON
new age fridges with ozone friendly HFCs
modern refrigerators are also evidently far more energy efficient ... my 35L draws about 4A.
If A fridge is ‘3 way’ it generally refers to
gas/12v/220v power sources and should not in itself mean its power hungry.... though most such 3way fridges are older ... my old 50L ZERO one probably also draws about >10A...

I think the OP was asking about the two different types of fridges. I have it that the one is generally referred to as a compressor fridge and the other as a "heat exchange" fridge (the old three way caravan fridges). The latter being really ineffective when working off DC, needs to be kept level and beter utilized with gas than battery power.
There is of course also the thermo electric monstrosities but they do not count as a fridge in my book....
Nothing to do with gasses etc but rather how they work....
