Botswana trip 5 days, campsites?

Ola!

I am planning a trip with friends to Botswana. We intend to go there for 5 days, this includes the days driving there and back.

Our main destination is Kubu Island, what other nice Campsites are enroute to Kubu Island and then back to Pta?

Need to have regard to the rainy season and when the pans are dry enough to cross safely.
Many a vehicle, and those recovering have been bogged down on route esp if coming from South,
Lethlekane etc Also need to time it so the vet fence is manned and passable.

If you in Pretoria and only got 5 days
suggest push right through via Makopane , n11 etc, to Khama Rhino Sanctuary on 1st day ...

Five days is short. You will be spending a long time everyday in the car if you try and fit in too much. Driving long distances in Botswana takes plenty time. Don’t think you can cover the same distance there as you can in SA. Bank on a moving average of about 80km/h.

For a five day trip you could get up to somewhere near Francistown on day one. Good place there is Woodlands Stopover.

Drive on to South Camp in Nxai Pan. Here you will have a chance of doing a game drive and also go to see Baine’s Baobab.

From there I would head off towards Ntwetwe Pan via Gweta. Take a turn off the main road through the Pan and wild camp out in the open in the middle of the Pan. An amazing experience.

From there go to Kubu Island.

Then Khama Rhino. Then home.

Why not drive to Kubu and stay there for a few days then to one other place?
Flex is overrated

Kubu for three nights is overkill.
