Onthou toe ek n hele klompie Jare terug by Witsand gekamp het .

Music
Bright/Loud Camp Lights
Brannas & Shouting
Running Motors Early or Late
to charge batteries ...
etc etc
... reflect people with little or no respect
for others or the environment they camp in.
Often they can be avoided if you camp away from piwer-points, ablutions, amenities etc
ie on the far side...

I think it all depends where and with who you camping. Spent a weekend at 3 Provinces with a noisy crowd. Big Bon fire, music and plenty drinking. Was a great weekend. All had fun. Then also camped in a game reserve with another crowd, nice fire, no music,no lights, listening to night life and talking. Was a great weekend. So I think you need to read the situation and decide if you want to join the crowd or not. Problem is when you camp where there and plenty and different crowds camping. I like to go when the places are quiet and better if it's only your group there.

I love music but at the right time and place. Prefer the silence of Wild Camping.
Music is still better than guys revving engines against limiters.
