Post pictures of "My camp setup"
I thought it would be great to share pictures of our/your camp setup, maybe we can learn something new from each other or just share ideas.

just a basic rock up and RTT up

to the trailer ...

We started camping with a road Caravan. Sold it many moons ago and moved over to a Jurgens Xplorer. With the kids out of the nest me and Swambo would like to do more touring stuff.
Think I will end up with an Abba Camper on the back of the 79 Cruiser. I am just getting past the age of moering pennetjies and other time consuming stuff. Want to stop and be ready to relax in 5 minutes and hit the bed with no schlep. Easy hot shower need to be part of the parcel.

You will never find me without Stroh or a 4x4

So I decided to get myself a rooftop tent. I know it's a bit of a hassle if you're doing trips every day and not ideal for camping for a couple of days, but it's quick to open up and a couple of minutes longer to fold up. But I must say it's very comfortable and much safer in game parks.

Here is a tip for you. Get a bungee cord with hooks on each end. Hook it into the eyes that I have circled in the attached photo. Then drape the FrontRunner tent cover over it. Keeps the cover out of the way and away from the vehicle doors.Nico-MAD wrote:So I decided to get myself a rooftop tent. Thanks for the tip. I also have the shower/room curtain, but we had an portable shower so I never put it up. I also have some extra tent ropes to secure the two ends in case of wind, but at that stage there was no wind, only to be totally washed out on Old Year's Eve. But it was all worth it. You have to take the good with the bad.
