Took our caravan to Namibia and back in April.

Between Swakop and Walvis you have a long stretch of salt road. Its like snot when it rains.

Anyways. The caravan didn’t stand up to strong against the salt on that roads

Had the whole undercarriage cleaned, treated and stone chipped. All the taps underneath were changed. The old ones were rusted badly. Had the leafspring treated and resprayed.

Hell. I won’t ever take a caravan on salt roads again.

True words Thys !! Salt gets in everywhere !! Any place that has a chip or is not painted will soon show the results !
