LC 79 and fridge

Good evening gents. I want to put a fridge on the back of my LC79 DC, on the bin, can i just strap it down or does it have to go on a fridge slider, i dont have canopy / drawer system, net so in die bak, any ideas?

Strapping it down securely should be fine if you are not worried about theft, not that it's any more secure on a slider.

However, if you have no canopy the fridge will be exposed to the elements; sun, dust, rain etc.
Your electrical points may be affected.
You'd need to find a way of protecting it..

Thank you Manny, for now I will cover with a tarpaulin when we travel, i just got the vehicle so I dont want to rush into spending on extras while Im still figuring out what I want to do.

Get some 9mm or 12mm PVC sheeting, some Connect-It tubes & connectors, a piano hinge & a clip & then build a box for it.
Just remember to drill holes for airflow at the correct place...

I have two fridges in the back of my 79. Made a angle iron frame in which they fit right behind the cab. I don`t even strap them down.
You will never find me without Stroh or a 4x4 :D

Yip all depending how rough you trip
With the weight in the Fridge my fridges don't move around un strapped as Grips mentioned

Best is to do a trip or 2 and figure out what your requirements are
Then buil like they say
