When camping I get fed up looking for lighters, refilling the same, this always happening at the worst possible time.
So I did this mod to the gas stove, fitted 2 ignitors.

My stove has built in igniters. I've had to use it before as well - to light up my smoke or firelighters when my lighter has run out...
It came in super handy. I quit smoking at some point and, since I had always had a lighter on my person, the first camp I did as a non-smoker, I had no lighter or matches packed...
That said, I (stupidly) started smoking again in December. There are reasons for this - lots of personal drama and stress and stuff. I'm not going to air them here though. Let's just say I need to quit again...

I always have a spare lighter in the car for just in case situations.
Comes in very handy. Until I forget to put it back.

That is a good mod that I'm going to copy.
Thanks Henri.

Is this directed at Peet or me?
If me, the electric cord is very short. And the stove is mounted such that you have to activate it from the side and not the front.
My wife suffers from arthritis and does not have strength in her fingers. Thus the position is as close as possible to the stove without kinking the cables. And it allows her to clamp her fingers against the raised area while using her thumb to press the button.
Just saying.......

Mine only has one button, but both plates spark.
Obviously only the one with open gas lights up...

Could get those. Had to go for 2 units. At least last twice as long.

I see those piezo units are available from Wish for R35.
I haven't bought anything from Wish so I don't know what their service is like.

I found these at a gas shop here in Mossel Bay R70 each. I had done some casual checks when I was in JHB but no success.
New gas stoves under R1k I have seen will not fit into the space available. There are stoves that fit, yours for R3k.
Cheers
