GT is a clever concept and tows very flat.
But its really just a trailer with a TTT, not that different to a Metalian Maxi, a Conqueror Conquest or any other trailer with TTT...
They are more off road capable now that they replaced the 1.5t axle with a 2.5t axle...
That 1.5t snapped easier than a D3 crank.

Although technically a trailer, but if you want to call a SHERPA a caravan...
Probably the most off-road-able

It is a pretty awesome set-up!

Awesome?
The fridge is on the opposite side to the kitchen.
Meaning you have to constantly walk around the shin smasher to get stuff out the fridge?
Awesome?

Some of us still have good enough eyesight and don't need a cane to walk around a trailer.

The kitchen is in front of the trailer, part of the "table area" is the nose of the trailer.
So the fridge is quite close.
Ill take photos this weekend

I just came accross this trailer camper: https://alphago.co.za/
6 sleeper and uses air beams for the tent. According to the site it takes 5min to setup.
Very similar to some australian campers.
I see the site has a price of R360000.

its basically the Opus...
I think it's an interesting option.
His video is terribly done though, too much noise, cameraman thumb in the way, wind noise etc.
They should reshoot.
Also you have to clamber over that lounge suite to get to the one bed pod.
But interesting nonetheless....

This past weekend we camped for the sixth time since we took delivery in February this year.
The new Duo costs R326000.00 , included is a 80liter Snowmaster fridge. You all debate on the practicality of a caravan.
Manny being a loner, pure bachelor would not understand the next point: Your wife is the most important factor in choosing your caravan, Manny a happy wife means a happy life.
Choosing the caravan you stand back, she chooses, the kitchen is the most important factor to consider, the Duo ticks all most important points.
This past weekend we chose to leave the tent off, it was 35deg, yet very nippy at night, the Duo again proved its worth.
A soft top wont allow a solar panel fitment, the Duo we bought has a 200 watt panel fitted on the roof.
a few weeks back we camped at John Rock, we had disgusting smell in the caravan. The battery got overcharged.
The Caravan stands parked on the south side of the house, under roof, we now come to learn that the PV still charges the battery even standing under the zinc roof.
If i had to choose again I would choose the Duo again. It pitches like a dream, it tows effortlessly, unlike ordinary caravans.
