The volume of the drawer is exactly 2 x ammo boxes

Sunday progress. Attached the drawer to the frame and added the top braces before I cover the top with chromadek.

And all done, except for the carpeting which I need to glue on:

What did the materials cost for this project Kurt?

Paul, the alu tubing, connect-it blocks and one sheet of Chromadek was R1026. Some Sika was R154 and the pop rivets I had lying around. The latch was around R54 and I had the two furnlock slides lying around so I can’t say what the total cost was/is but maybe around R1700 once the fabric is glued on? (Contact Glue is damn expensive).

PS - I’m only talking about the drawer on the left, I had the Coleman slide already.

Thanks Kurt. Was wanting to do something similar before the River Trip. Don't think I'll get to it for this year though.

Ok, something else I made from bits I had, is a gas stove, with drawers for eating spanners, and spices and shit.

Thanks!

Btw, cutting that cast iron nearly killed me. I think there was some acids trapped inside, that escaped when I started cutting the stove up. I felt like I was drowning.

Just a little trivial warning...
