WMC Cappuccino in Bots- Inverter
Hi all fellow WMC 4x4 overlanders.
I wanted to reach out to our esteemed overlanding guru but i thought I would rather post here to get more Likes.
I enjoy cappuccinos, double shot ones. I intend to take my Saeco coffee machine with to Botswana end of this month else the trip would be dreadful (for the others who has to sit with my pms)
My Saeco uses 1850W, I intend to buy a 2500w pure sine inverter (which I will install in my Bushlapa later on) to drive the coffee machine from my Prado’s battery but while idling also.
Question: Will I damage my battery?

Let me see if my answer helps you LesseW.
I don't drink Cappuccinos because, well, I'm straight.
However, I am also going to Bots & I was faced with a conundrum:
How do I take enough coffee to last the entire 17 day trip?
Now, most of you uncouth savages drink instant (& walk on laminate flooring), so you think the answer is to throw another tin of Ricoffy in the trailer.
However, we cultured individuals drink filter coffee and filter coffee tastes best when freshly ground..
I could grind 17 days worth of coffee before departure, but I'd far prefer freshly ground.
I did order a hand crank grinder - but it takes a full 5 minutes of hard labour to grind enough for one cup!
So, LesseW, I would greatly appreciate it if you bring a 2500W inverter - then I can grind some fresh beans every 2 or 3 days.
So to answer your question - yes, buy the inverter...
PS I take it you add a lowfat soy milk gently frothed to your cuppaqueerou...?

Almond Milk?
Almonds are nuts, right?
So you put Nut Milk in your coffee?
Figures.

You do get 12V Nespresso Machines.
Would be te easiest way out.
Driving cooking stuff powered by elements from inverters is not a nice idea.
Your inverter would have its best performance with a dedicated power source. Why risk you vehicle battery and charging system.
The best solution is Stroh does not need extra power sources

Remove the hand crank and connect a cordless drill. Problem solved.Mad Manny wrote:
